Position: Parish Administrative Assistant/Digital Content Producer

Looking for an Administrative Assistant/Digital Content Producer to assist in daily support of busy Parish in Brooklyn, NY. This individual will be responsible for all support/administrative functions and will also take a lead role in event planning along with social media aspects.


  • All administrative functions including mail correspondence, travel arrangements, managing of parish calendar, etc.
  • Effectively communicate with high level members of the Diocese of Brooklyn
  • Update and maintain various employee databases
  • Collaborate with team members on long term projects
  • Coordinate and plan various Parish events
  • Act as gatekeeper/front desk whenever needed
  • Assist with creation of various documents and PowerPoints
  • Assist in managing parish website and social media accounts
  • Participate in creative ideas for the Parish and overseeing completion of projects from beginning to end
  • Schedule, attend and execute video shoots as needed

Background/ Experience/ Skills

  • 3+ years experience working in a high-volume administrative role
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing various large-scale projects
  • 2+ years of digital production or content creation
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Stellar communication skills and a high service mindset and organized approach to work
  • Proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and scheduling meetings via email
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Calm, unflappable demeanor
  • Ability to give and receive feedback
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Proactive, “roll up your sleeves” candidate
  • General knowledge and understanding of the Roman Catholic Church
